Today Kindergarten, First and Second graders are off on an adventure at the Quabbin! They will enjoy a day of outdoor fun and learning. Fifth and Sixth grades ventured to the Quabbin a few weeks ago. We are so lucky to have such an amazing resource so close to SES!
Third grade finished their ELA MCAS this week. They worked very hard! They enjoyed some great snacks and extra outside time and play. The older grades will test after vacation.
I hope that everyone has a great week of fun with beautiful weather and lots of laughs!
Jackie

***MOOSE INTERVIEW OF THE WEEK***
MYONNI FROM 6th GRADE!
JCB: What is your favorite thing about school?
MW: I really like gym class. It’s like you’re learning new stuff and getting a workout, but you’re also having a lot of fun.
JCB: What is your favorite food?
MW: I like, that’s hard, I like I think my favorite food would be spaghetti. It can be messy but it’s tasty. It’s like all the nutrition in one bite.
JCB: What is your favorite thing to do at home?
MW: Probably play with my cousin, but if I was doing an activity it would be gymnastics and dance. I really like stuff like that and I’ve just been getting settled in and it’s harder to find a place like that around here.
JCB: What book are you reading right now?
MW: I actually read 5 or 6 at a time. I usually check out 10 or 11. I just read a chapter.
JCB: What’s your favorite book that you’re reading right now.
MW: I’m reading one about self-esteem and it’s really helpful because sometimes my emotions take over me so it’s really helpful to read that book. “Everyday Ways to Raise Smart, Strong, Confident Girls & Successful Teens.”
JCB: If you could be any animal, what animal would you be and why?
MW: Well, being an animal is really hard because it depends on if you want to hunt or be taken care of by an owner. I would probably want to hunt and so I’d be a wolf or a moose because moose are very strong.
JCB: What do you want to be when you grow up?
MW: Well, I want to join the military for war but a lot of my friends tell me it’s a death wish but I’ve had family who have died in the military and it’s really to help my nation. My aunt’s son joined and it’s a really big deal to me.
JCB: What are you looking forward to in Middle School?
MW: Well, I’ve been in middle school before [moved in this year from a middle school], but I think I’m going to miss this place. The environment I was used to is different from this one. You get a lot more help here and it’s a smaller class here so it’s easier to make friends there than it is here because everyone here has been friends for a long time and it’s harder to get into the inner circle.
