Dear Moose,
We’re all just going to pretend that the snowfall forecast for Sunday and Monday is not happening. March is supposed to go out like a lamb, not a lion! In my mind, daffodils will be springing up this weekend and the weather will be 68 degrees and sunny…one can hope, right?
As many of you know, there has been a committee of staff members and parents that have been working together to obtain funds through the Community Preservation Committee to replace our Pre-K/K playground structure and to install a 1/8 mile track in the upper field. Jessica Carlson-Belanger has been a leading organizer and facilitator on this—thank you, Jessica! This morning we received this message from the CPC chair, Donald Fletcher: “I am writing with the good news that the CPC has voted to recommend that Annual Town Meeting approve the CPA funds requested for both of the recreation projects proposed by the Shutesbury Elementary School. Congratulations for the good work that has brought your committee of volunteer this far!” We hope that the community will support these projects at Town Meeting on May 7th!
Student Council is continuing to broadcast the news for our 2nd annual SES Spirit Week- the week of March 28-April 1st. We have attached the daily schedule for Spirit Week to this RTN for your convenience and planning.
Have a great snow-free weekend,
Jackie
