It was a chilly and rainy week—but there were plenty of bright and warm moments at the school.  Our whole-school Art Show and Music Concert on Wednesday evening were out-of –this- world! Literally! The space-themed evening was truly beautiful! Amazing and detailed art was displayed in our hallways. Students sang melodies about stars, the moon and space. Recorders, kazoos and percussion instruments were played. Even light sabers made an appearance! An enormous amount of thanks go to our art teacher, EveLynn Goodhind, and music teacher, Miss Chris, for their time and talents in creating this event. Bravo!

Can you help out with set-up for the amazing PTO sponsored Silent Auction on Thursday night (5/12)? Please contact Colleen Chudzik at 256-6290687-8717, or [email protected] if you can assist. THANKS to the 6th grade parents, 6th grade teachers, the PTO and SES families for working together to make these traditional and fantastic events happen. See you all on the 13th!

Looking ahead, the strings concert with Mr. Peele will take place on Wednesday, May 18th and the Band concert with Mr. Bender will take place on Wednesday, May 25th.  We are looking forward to the beautiful music on those concert days (and nights).
