Hello Shutesbury Moose!

We were all treated to a fantastic Circus Show right here in Shutesbury last Friday!  The children were very invested in the week long artist-in-residence program with artist Joshua Shack from Circus Smirkus.  The exhibition of their skills was entertaining and amazing with each child participating in the demonstration of skills they were comfortable with including plate spinning, tumbling, feather balancing and human pyramids!!  See photos included in this week’s Roadtown News for a glimpse at our talented circus performers.  Thanks again to the PTO and the Mass Cultural Council for funding this residency!

Our Holiday Recess begins today!  Enjoy this time with family and friends.  Remember that children feel more settled when there is a routine in place, so vacations can sometimes be challenging.  Rest, relaxation and a good book can help!  Have a wonderful break and we’ll see you in the new year!

Coming up in 2017:

Monday, January 2 – NO SCHOOL

Tuesday, January 3 – Return to school!

Thursday, January 5 – PTO Meeting from 6:30-7:30pm

Friday, January 6 – All School Assembly from 2:30-3:00pm

Have a safe and fun holiday recess!

Jackie Mendonsa

NJ:  Playing with my friends.

JCB:  What do you like to do in your spare time at home?
NJ:  I guess just watch TV, I guess.  Well, I usually play on my mom’s Ipod because I’ve got games on there.

JCB:  If you could eat only one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
NJ:  Probably candy that tasted like regular candy but it was actually healthy for you.

JCB:  What do you think you’d like to be when you grow up?
NJ:  Probably a scientist.

JCB:  If you were President what would be the first thing you would do?
