Hello Moose!

I can’t believe it’s already June!  This year has flown by and the students have come such a long way since the beginning of the year.  Each day we see examples of kindness and compassion amongst the students, and their maturity and enthusiasm are amazing.  It’s wonderful to watch this growth throughout the year!

In the past week we’ve been excited to see all of the instrumental students perform under the instruction of Brian Bender and Tyson Peelle.  The students did a fabulous job during their performances, showing off their fine-tuned skills and entertaining the audience.  Thanks Tyson and Brian for another great year of music!

In the upcoming week we have a field trip for grades K-2 to the Bassett Planetarium at Amherst College, and the 6th graders will uphold the time-honored tradition of Portfolio Presentations.  Portfolios will be presented on Thursday, June 7 and Friday, June 8 in the mornings.  The entire community is welcome to come and enjoy these culminating projects where 6th graders discuss their time at SES, their strengths, struggles and goals for the future!

Thanks for all of your continued support!

Jackie

PTO Moosing Update:

Stay tuned for more moose activity in your area! While moosing began as a month long experiment to gauge interest for a schoolwide moosing for next year, we are  happy to report that due to the overwhelming response we are able to extend it through the end of this school year! The moose are on their way to each and every SES household so don't be alarmed if you find a flock of moose in your drive - they are very friendly.  As a reminder, while there is an envelope that asks for the name of the next person to be moosed and in which a donation can be made, there is no need to make a donation, it is strictly voluntary.  And if a name given has already been moosed then another family on the list will be selected at random.  If you prefer not to be moosed, please contact the PTO at [email protected]. Happy Moosing!

AmeriGas Announcement!

We’ve received a check for $53.16 through AmeriGas!  When an AmeriGas customer receives a delivery, their invoice will contain a special School Days receipt which they can cut off and drop off at any school or organization participating in the program. AmeriGas will donate $0.02 per gallon, up to $2,000 per school in a calendar year. Send your AmeriGas receipts to the main office and we will redeem them.  Thank you!
