FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR 2015-16 YEAR!

June 19, 2015
Dear Moose,

It has been such an honor and privilege to get to know the students, staff and families at SES over the course of this year. I am constantly amazed by the dedication, love and pride that this community has in this magical school.

At the 6th grade graduation last night I reflected on the special experience that our students are given at SES. There are so many unique things that happen in this school that are truly different than what most kids experience in their elementary years. The special traditions, field trips, portfolio presentations, assemblies, projects, school chefs, and fun events are unique to SES. However, it is the special school culture and people that fill the school and surround our students that are really meaningful. There are not many places where children are truly known as a student and a unique individual as there is here.

I wish you all a beautiful, relaxing and energizing summer. I wish our 6th graders much luck and happiness in their new middle school adventure. We look forward to seeing the rest of our students and families back at school on September 2nd!

With great appreciation,

Jackie Mendonsa

*Before School Program 2015-16:  We have noted a need for families to drop off children before our 8:20am school start time.  We are in the process of planning a Before School Program beginning in the 2015-16 school year!  Preliminary discussions have narrowed down a timeframe, 7:30am – 8:30am, and a cost, $5/student/day.  School breakfast will be served beginning at 8:15am.  Familiar school staff will be staffing this program.  If you are interested in having your child/ren attend this program, please email or call Jessica, [email protected] or 259-1212 x0, so that we can make proper staffing arrangements.  Thank you!
