SHUTESBURY SCHOOL COMMITTEE VOTING METHOD
Except on procedural matters, all votes of the School Committee shall be taken by a call of the ayes and nays. The result of the vote shall be recorded in the minutes. Any member may request a roll call vote to record in the minutes how each member voted. If the vote is unanimous, only that fact need be recorded.
All actions require a majority vote of all members present and voting except when state law, Robert's Rules of Order, Newly Revised, or policies of this Committee require a larger majority.
A majority of the members of the School Committee shall constitute a quorum. A two-thirds vote shall be required to suspend parliamentary rules of order.
