Learning targets:

  1. Use the light sensor to differentiate colors/shades
  2. Learn how to use the wait block
  3. Learn how the switch block

 

Learning steps:

  1. Teacher-led instruction
  2. Build the light sensor attachment, if you haven’t already done so.
  3. Using the light sensor wait block, replicate and test the “Walk to Line” program shared in class.

  4. Light sensor challenge 1 – write a program to keep your robot from walking outside the blue box.

  5. Light sensor challenge 2 – Using the light sensor switch block, write a program to say “yellow” if it detects a yellow piece of paper; “blue” if it detects a blue piece of paper.
