PROHIBITION OF SMOKING ON SCHOOL PREMISES
Smoking within the school facilities, or on school grounds or school buses by any individual, including school personnel, students, vendors and all other visitors is prohibited at all times.
A staff member determined to be in violation of this policy shall be subject to disciplinary action administered by the Principal consistent with existing employee guidelines.
A student determined to be in violation of this policy shall be subject to disciplinary action to be determined by the Principal
A vendor determined to be in violation of this policy may be asked to leave the premises.
Vendors refusing to adhere to the policy or who are in persistent violation shall be subject to administrative or legal sanctions to be initiated by the principal.
This policy shall be distributed to all staff and students in appropriate handbook(s) and publications.
Signs shall be posted in all school buildings informing the general public of the District policy and requirements of state law.
